Sakskøbing harbour is at the far end of Sakskøbing Fjord, in the very heart of the town of Sakskøbing, just 200 m from the town square.
 
The harbour has a very special atmosphere, in part created by the designer house boats. There is lovely scenery and an abundance of bird life along the inlet. Sakskøbing is a beautiful old market town with all its old houses and pleasant streets; it positively throbs with commercial activity.

There are lots of shops and businesses and the area is particularly renowned for local produce including fruit, with a Fruit Festival being held in the town

each September.
