Denmark’s most southerly market town with many well preserved, beautiful old buildings. A charming harbour in the shade of Aalholm castle, almost in the middle of the town and with plenty for children to do. The sandy beach, ideal for families, is near to a wooded area. Wind turbine park: Yacht sailers are welcome to sail through the wind park. It is forbidden to drop anchor or to tie up at the wind turbines or transformer platforms. Suggestions for excursions: go on a trip of discovery along the old roads, visit the car museum in Aalholm and the old water tower (observation tower). Cycle tour along the Paradise Route through beautiful scenery.
